The Oregon Tinnitus and Hyperacusis Treatment Clinic opened its doors in 1996 to serve people from all over the world who suffer from these conditions. We are located near Providence hospital in Portland, Oregon.

We have a focus on hyperacusis in our clinic, including direct patient care, medical provider education, and clinical research.

Our founder and director, Marsha Johnson, is an audiologist with extensive training and experience with hyperacusis.  She has published several articles on the topic, and created the widely used Johnson's Hyperacusis Quotient to measure and categorize severity and treatment outcomes for patients. 

She also includes here a recent artice on head injury and hyperacusis, submitted for journal publication in the summer of 2003.
